About:
Elizabeth has been riding horses for over 20 years. As a foster child, she began her horse journey as a member of the Horse Time therapeutic vaulting program. Elizabeth became an active member of associations/clubs such as the American Vaulting Association (AVA), United States Equestrian Federation (USEF), and Friendship Vaulting Team. From her preteens throughout high school, she competed at numerous regional and national shows as a bronze medal and then silver medal vaulter. Her passion and involvement in these programs led her to become a PATH International Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor. Throughout the years Elizabeth has maintained a high level of experience working, volunteering, coaching, studying, and competing in the areas of Vaulting, Hunter Jumper, and Therapeutic Riding along with a vast amount of knowledgeable horsemanship skills. Elizabeth continued her growth in the mental health field when she acquired her Certified Peer Specialist as well as CPS-Whole Health Action Management (WHAM) certificates. Now as a certified yoga instructor, she teaches clinical yoga and Hatha yoga accessible to everyone, Elizabeth has tied her career together by starting YBE You? Yoga by Elizabeth in 2019. She says that yoga has played an immensely important role in all of her endeavors in life. Elizabeth has faith that bringing together heart, mind, body, and song for all is a mighty step in the direction of self-healing.

About YBE:
During my yoga practice as my breathing begins to slow, my thoughts begin to repeat the intentions I have for my life, for myself, for my future. My body begins to relax, my heart begins to open, and everything that seemed so difficult before just seems to melt into the floor beneath my feet. I am asked often how I came to teach yoga, my response is plain that I believe yoga found me. As a child in foster care through adoption as a preteen and well into my adulthood I have dealt with PTSD, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, feelings of worthlessness, and most of the time my mind left me feeling lost and confused. Through all of it, at those times of hopelessness with yoga I was able to breathe, able to digest and survive the present moment whether, in a good or bad way, I was simply able. During my times as a student or teacher, I used the breath or yoga to get myself or students from point A to point B. With grace, the universe provided people and situational guides to open my eyes to choice. The ability of choice to be, do, say or think one way or another. All of the grace, people, teachings, and ability that kept me going through it all become so clear when I pull out my yoga mat. Yoga for me isn't just flexibility or fitness. It is my time to choose to breathe. My chance to choose to be aware. My chance to give in and let go. Yoga is my chance to grow. It is my chance to choose one way or another. Getting on my yoga mat gives me a chance to say thank you.
Regularly practicing yoga has many benefits. From increased focus to heightened flexibility, we all benefit differently from yoga.
I believe that consistency is key.
I'd like to teach you how to take control of your life in an environment of your choosing, reaching the goal of having the confidence to enjoy yoga anywhere at any time.
YBE guides you through a Hatha yoga session. It is a balanced, restorative sequence of breathing, and poses that stretch and strengthen all the muscles in the body all with a goal to gain control of the mind. If you have never done yoga before DO NOT FEAR, if you are a seasoned yogi there is a challenge. All sessions are non-aggressive and non-impactful at a pace that ensures the sustainability of your body. YBE can approach sessions in a gentle way or with intensity or a variation in between. Sessions will leave you feeling clear, sessions will force you to be present, and will challenge you to experience fullness. The more attention you give to your practice, the more you will get out of it.
